Tips for Replacing a Door
It can seem that your doors are old and look ugly, so maybe it’s time to replace them. For those who like me have some very basic skills such as carpenters, it will be difficult to replace a door, so do not panic. What you should do is read the advice to replace a door that will give you after the jump. You’ll see that everything will be fine.
The first thing to do is buy a door that suits your taste and style that you have your home. Remember that no matter what style you should buy the door which will serve the purpose that will, if it is for the inside to the outside to the closet. Do not forget to measure either the size of the door because they are not all exactly alike.
Once you are sure you have all this and the new door you must remove the old. For this you must remove the hinges, which are locked with screws. You do not need more than a screwdriver to do so. After removing it from do not forget to also remove the doorknob to be put in the new.
Now put a door on the other, lying on the floor. So see if the new door needs to be cut, which is sand, if the place of the knob is below or above, or what you need. Be sure to comply with this step and it’s ready to put in place. Check all the places that need to be lowered or worked. If only little sanding, if cut with much care.
Finally, the best part: put the new door knob (you can use these instructions) and mount the door in place with new hinges. Close and open to see that this has been and it is working without scratching or hitting against something. That is all, be great!
