It is not necessary to crowd your home with expensive furniture and accessories to make it look beautiful; your home can be as beautiful even with the simplest things. You just have to decorate it with love and with the things you love in order to feel comfortable and make others feel the warmth when they enter your house.

* Start by getting rid of all the things you do not love and will not use anymore. They are just unnecessary clutter even if there are some stuff on which you may have spent a small fortune but if cannot stand it anymore you will not have the comfort level in your own house!
* If the design of your furniture is still in vogue but it has started looking worn then you can try to have a new cover made for it which you can just slip on. You can achieve a totally new look with it.
* If you want a wood finish for your living room paint it yourself with paint that gives a false impression of wooden finish. There are a lot of other faux finish paints available which you can buy and paint yourself for a totally new and trendy look.
* You can be creative with the artwork you want to display on the wall. Check the internet and decorating books for ideas which you can do it by yourself. Some are really simple to follow and give a real professional look like hanging a board on which you have mounted a collection of pressed flowers or a collection of shells etc. You can also have beautiful photographs of places you have been to or your family’s snap shots framed and hung on walls. The frames can also be made at home if you are working on a really shoestring budget.
